About

Ritty Tacsum

Ritty Tacsum (b.1990, Malta) works with photography and mixed media to explore memory, place, and the layers of meaning that accumulate in both. Her images return often to architecture — to spaces that carry time in their surfaces — and to figures that resist easy reading: masked, androgynous, caught between presence and absence.

Her work has been shown in solo and curated exhibitions across Europe, the United States, and Asia, alongside international artists including Björk and Patricia Piccinini. Her photographs have appeared in numerous art and design publications, including Assouline collections books, and are held in the permanent collections of the European Union and MUŻA, the national museum of art in Malta.
